Are air conditioning and ventilation the same thing?

Chillers

What is a chiller for, and how does it work? This air conditioning system comprises a refrigeration machine that produces cold and warm fluid. Further, the liquid is transferred through pipes to fan coil units and cools or heats a large room area. The advantage of this system is that only one refrigerator can be used to cool a huge building. And some models can operate in the heat pump mode and produce hot water. Chillers are usually installed on the roof and do not take up much space.

Fan coils

And what is a fan coil in the air conditioning system, and for what? A simple device, mainly of the cassette type, operates on a heat exchanger principle. Cooled/heated liquid is supplied from the chiller to the fan coils, which gives heat/cold to the air. And a particular device in the fan coil evenly distributes this air in the room. A fan coil is an integral part of an industrial-scale air conditioning system. In addition, they are used for dehumidification and air circulation in the air conditioning system.

Rooftops (Roof Air Conditioners)

Rooftops are often installed on roofs. They stabilize circulation and air exchange over maximum areas. Most often, rooftops are used in shopping malls, factories, and stadiums. In fact, a rooftop is a connecting element between a refrigerating machine (chiller) and a central air conditioner or fan coil. It is versatile since it can simultaneously distribute cold air for air conditioning and ventilation systems. Due to this, the temperature and air quality within the premises are always optimal.
